"Thiery In Paris - Great Empire Port Clock, Robert-houdin Fils System"
PORTAL PENDULUM, with columns with ionic capitals, in white marble decorated with gilded bronze decorated with leafy scrolls, hangings. It rests on the rectangular marble base terminated by claw feet also in gilded bronze. The white enamel dial with Roman numerals is signed "Thiery in Paris" and bears the words "ROBERT-HOUDIN FILS system".
The reassembly is carried out via a key hidden under the face of the dial (see photo 3).

Emile Robert-Houdin is the son of Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin (1805-1871); famous illusionist and watchmaker, author of the famous mysterious clocks and auto-mates clocks. He was also one of the pioneers of the electric clock with a patent in 1855.
