This beautiful Louis XV Slope Officeis a splendid example of the refined Genoese cabinet-making of the eighteenth century.
The surface, entirely veneered with open stain in bois de violette and inlaid in bois de rose, plays on the arrangement of the veins, applied in such a way as to create a particular rhomboid pattern, both on the front and on the sides;
The front with three drawers is very elegant, slightly moved, ending with a rounded movement near the two drawers. The back, like all internal parts, is intact without any replacement.
Undoubtedly it is a piece of furniture that excellently expresses the skill of the cabinetmakers active in Genoa in the eighteenth century.
Conservation status: Excellent.
