"Debut XIX ° Exceptional Pair Of Large Vases Paris Empire Period High: 37.5 Cm"
Important pair of Paris porcelain vases, work from the Empire period. They are baluster shaped decorated, on both sides, with winged swan necks simulating the handles. Decor gilded with matt and shiny gold very neat. They present a different decoration on each of their faces: for one, scenes of daily life in the style of 17th century Dutch painting; for the other, charming bouquets of flowers on a “hard blue” background, set with golden foliage. These vases end in a pedestal resting on a square base. It is a very refined set and particularly the ornamentation with gold for the framing of the decorations and the swan necks. This large model was, at the time, a rare production Height: 37.5 cm diameter of the neck: 43 cm diameter of the body: 47 cm square base: 11.5 x 11.5 cm They are in excellent condition conservation. only a tiny wear on the pedestals is reported (see the penultimate photo) 202018001005
