"Watercolor By Tadeusz Michaluk"
Polish artist born in 1938. He studied for five years at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw and graduated in 1965. He began his artistic career in Warsaw where he produced 200 stamps for the Polish Post, book covers, advertising posters for which he receives numerous awards. In the 60s, his career became international with exhibitions in Buenos Aires, Stockholm, New York, Paris. Spotted by a major Parisian merchant in 1977 in Stockholm, he settled permanently in France in 1985. He was appointed Associate of the Salon of French artists. He takes part in numerous fairs during which he receives the Gold and Silver Medal (Salon des Artistes Français). A fertile and imaginative painter, he handles humor with brilliance and plays with colors. Acrobats, acrobats, baroque theaters, burlesque characters, acrobats and strange architectures are intertwined in a universe from his imagination. His dreamlike compositions place him in poetic realism whose aesthetic remains Flemish. The light that bathes his paintings is intense, sometimes tragic, always evocative of mystery and emotion. His works can be found in numerous public and private collections (Musée de la Ville de Paris, Ministry of Defense, Palais de l'Elysée). Our watercolor enhanced with gouache is signed lower right and is in an excellent state of freshness. It represents a baroque and fantastic basket of vegetables. It is framed under glass. Frame dimensions: 80.5 x 68.5 cm
