At 19, he entered the School of Fine Arts in Algiers where he followed the teaching of Pierre Frailong and Léon Cauvy (1874-1933). He first painted landscapes of "Heureus Algeria" in shimmering tones. In the 1960s his expression became resolutely geometric and his painting, always very colorful, became completely abstract. He also creates volume pieces and ceramics.
