Elegant dresser from the Louis XVI period, from the second half of the eighteenth century. Typical example of the neoclassical cabinetmaking Lombard, this piece of furniture reflects the refinement reached in Italy at that time.
The facade is marked by the presence of 4 drawers arranged on two levels, with two larger in the lower part and two smaller aligned under the top.
The aspect that characterizes the furniture and gives it a great refinement, is the sober elegance of the inlay, divided into geometric fillings to form reserves, made on a dark base of purple rosewood, contrasting with the various exotic woods clearer.
The furniture rests on typical Louis XVI style chest of drawers, called 'trunk pyramid' (or obelisk upside down), with a narrowing in the upper part that enhances its shape.
The chest of drawers, from a private residence in Milan, is in excellent condition, restored and polished with shellac in our trusted laboratory.
The furniture is accompanied by a certificate of guarantee and authenticity in accordance with the law.
