Gustave Serrurier Bovy (Liège 1858-1910), Belgian architect &designer, is one of the main representatives of Art Nouveau style in Belgium.Architect until 1888, he turned to the creation of furniture and became interested in the english Arts & Crafts. In 1894, he exhibited a study cabinet at the Salon de la Libre Esthetique in Brussels and met, then, an immediate success. From 1902, he turned to industrial aesthetics and will be considered as a precursor of the modern design.
