"Servant Cooker, Tools Embossed Brass, Flanders, 19th Century"
It is not a vulgar coal bucket, but a luxurious cook's servant, who, no doubt, sat majestically near the piano in a fully tiled kitchen in Flanders, French or Belgian, late 19th century. Neat decoration, the upper surface is embossed, in relief and engraving, with a bouquet of flowers. The handle pivots on axes cut as fleurons, the handle on the back is made of turned exotic wood, signs of a great house .... Dinanderie perhaps from the workshops of Dinand.Dimensions = 50cm and 42 cm and 30cm. .Weight: about 3.5kg.
Condition of discovery is quite good, it lacks a brass handle on top, the coal and its shovel have deformed the bottom, which must have been formerly re-sown, not very visible.
