"Plan Of Venice, Giambatista Garlato, 1838"
Map of the city of Venice engraved by Giambatista Garlato and published by Giusepe Kier, 1838. Canvas portable map intended for tourists making the "grand tour" of Italy. It is decorated with vignettes representing the remarkable sites of the surroundings. Five lists offer details of the remarkable monuments of the city of Venice. The cutting of the card as well as its interlining allowed a more appropriate use than the rolled cards. Lacks the casing. Good condition. Small wear on the Greek frieze on the right. 19th century.
