"Large Aubusson Tapestry "
Large Aubusson tapestry in wool and silk representing a fox hunting scene. Four moving characters in colorful outfits chase the fox with their canine companion. The cubs are withdrawn and secure. Foliage trees in different shades of green. In the background, two castles with bright colors and contours stand out clearly. Beautiful original frame with a frieze where natural and floral patterns are abundant. This large tapestry has particularly fresh and vivid colors. Maintained with care, it was notably cleaned in the workshops of Aubusson in 1987. Period early 18th century.
