Very pretty Africanist ceramic statuette from the 1950s made by the Gmündner factory in Austria, depicting a crouching young woman holding a jar with her left hand. It has its raffia loincloth and its original label under the base. Very fine piece and revealing of the craze at this period for the African colonies.
