Rare pair of large natural and blackened wooden medallions carved in low relief depicting the portrait of General Jean-Baptiste Kléber (Strasbourg 1753- Cairo 1800) and General Bonaparte (Napoleon Bonaparte 1769- 1821; General Bonaparte from 1793 to 1799) David and dated 1831 and 1838 respectively after the medallions of David d'Angers sculptor (1788-1856) created on these dates, they are inserted in their original fruit wood frame, in good general condition minor accidents of use to the frames, total dimensions 32cm X32.5cm thickness 2.5cm, dimensions of the medallions on sight diameter 16.5cm, nice work of the first half of the XIXem,
