China Qianlong. (1736-1795)
Octagonal Chinese export porcelain plate for the American East India Company, with pink, iron red and blue enamel decoration under cover and gold. Pink family. The background is decorated with an idyllic landscape where two small ducks and a bat move in the middle of a scene with a pine tree, a citron behind a fence and a tree covered with peonies starting from a rock.
At the bottom of the landscape a Chinese pagoda at the edge of a lake. The wing is decorated with a band of pink braces on a pink background highlighted by a blue frieze with small red flowers.
The marli is decorated with pink braces on a pink background with reserves showing flowers in blue, red and gold.
Good condition, some slight chips.
