18th Century, French Louis XV Center Writing Desk

The very unusual and particular center writing desk, called also bureau plat, was made in France, at Paris, in the 18th century, Louis XV period. It has a refined veneer in violet wood and a sliding shade, very rare, lined in fabric with decoration in floral quinoiserie. It have a beautiful wavy line with slender but solid legs. The desk have the original elegant black leather insert with gold decoration, Plenty of space for your writing needs and a comfortable drawers, with original knob ormolu, on the right side. Refined engraved and gilded bronze decorations adorn the corners, the heads and the nozzle of the drawer. The back is well finished and this desk can also be used as a center table. In good condition, with some small signs of wear and age on the leather top, it’s ready to be inserted into your home, that will be enriched with a very rare object.
