"Charles X Period Worker"
This very nice Charles X period work table has a special charm .... it was made, and offered to a certain "HB" whose initials are inlaid in a medallion on the tray. It is a very elaborate and decorated piece of furniture. In blond rosewood and rosewood veneers, the inlays are in lemon. The tray is bordered by a gallery carved with leaves and arabesques, openwork on three sides, with a flowery decoration in the center, and clear nets around. The drawer on the front is also decorated with flower marquetry, the interior is with three compartments. The four feet are turned, connected by a spacer. She kept her wooden work basket covered with an orange-yellow pleated silk.
