"Gustav Rienäcker (german, 1861 - 1935) Title: Thief With Flat Feet"A charming and humorous genre work with a dachshund was performed by the good Munich painter and art teacher Gustav Rien-cker (1861 Blankenburg - 1935 Munich ). The artist studied at the Art Academy in Duesseldorf, then at artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. At the end of the 19th century, he moved to Munich, where he was recognized as a portrait painter, worked as a professor at the Academy of Art and taught painting to many future famous painters. He was a court portrait painter, executed portraits of the German nobility (including Luise Victoria of Prussia and ernst August, Herzof von Braunschweig and Luneburg), also landscape sketches, still natures and paintings of dogs. He exhibited several times at the Glaspalast in Munich (1904-1911 and 1929). several of his works are the state of collections and official museums. Literature: E.
