Interesting object that deserves in-depth research. A lock of white hair, artistically placed in a frame of velvet vilet and original curved glass, all preserved in a pretty "MM" encrypted case. On the back, this handwritten note: "the hair of my good and honorable aunt and benefactor Madame Marie de Maupassant widow of Boissavary who died at Brunetiere on 19X1858" Genealogical research concerning Guy de Maupassant may be surprising .... Total dimensions: 7.5cm by 6cm.
