Pierre Giraudon(1923-2012) was a French biologist who realized the inclusion of plants, animals or others, in resin, for academic purposes. He worked in Canada in the 1940’s, he came back to France in 1949 and began to work with resin in an artistic point of view, for his pleasure. From the 1960’s to the 1980’s, he realized sculptures, lamps and colored resin items. He refused to be called an artist and considered himself as a biologist, even if he left behind him magnificent art items, very recognizable through their shapes or colors.
