"Jacques Voyet (1926-2010), Painting Still Life With Bouquets Of Flowers."
VOYET (Jacques), painter and sculptor born July 26, 1926 in Loudun (Vienne) and died in Tours on January 12, 2010 (Ec. Fr.). He studied painting with Jean Souverbie at the National School of Fine Arts. Very quickly, his style was noticed in the art world as being very personal and imbued with a mixture of symbolism and expressionism. His talent allows him to obtain beautiful solo exhibitions in London, Tokyo, San Francisco, New York, Melbourne and Paris in the Stiebel and Alain Daune galleries. He also participates in beautiful group exhibitions such as the Salon of painters who witness their time, the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Indépendants. Some of his works were acquired by the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris and the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours. This very beautiful work, an oil on cardboard from the 1970s represents a still life with bouquets of flowers and the statuette of a horse. It makes one think of these theater tables that the artist produced in the form of small skits; preliminary works to stage sets. The light playing on the relief effects is characteristic of the style of this beautiful artist. Work in good condition if not very light without affecting the periphery. Height 24.2 cm. Width 19 cm.
