A. Marionnet : "eagle Paper Cutter" flag

Object description :

"A. Marionnet : "eagle Paper Cutter""
Albert Marionnet (1882-1910) “Eagle paper cutter” This beautiful large paper cutter depicts an eagle with outstretched wings taking flight from a branch.
Made by Marionnet, a bronze sculptor well known for his table or office objects, it is in formerly gilded bronze, traces of gilding remaining in places. Some residue of verdigris in the hollows and it was used for something other than its original use, thus twisting the blade a little.
A vestige of an era when more letters than emails were sent and books were not cut to the press, this raptor will happily decorate your office.
