Superb and elegant bronze from the end of the XIXth century representing "Ense et Aratro" by Émile André BOISSEAU (1842-1923), French sculptor from Varzy, he started at the Paris salon in 1869, made many busts of characters in a neoclassical style , vice-president of the society of French artists, his works are present in several French museums and in different public spaces. This sculpture represents the Currency of the citizen who serves his country, in time of war by his sword, in time of peace by the plow, that is to say by the work of agriculture.
