Wooden sculpture of the Flemish school representing the crucified Christ, datable from the late sixteenth century.The sculpture is characterized by a language of vigorous character, with the accentuation of the muscles of the torso, that the important dimensions can only exalt.In spite of the scrupulous photographic service, you can see the undeniable beauty and quality, the live vision is able to increase the emotion that a passionate collector can try.
From the sculpture, originally painted, the traces of polychrome have completely disappeared. To confirm this consideration, note the absence of any engraved sign representing the students of a figure, a criterion that confirms its initial lacquering. Thanks to the original protection of the polychrome, the wood has been preserved almost perfectly, not attacked by the woodworm, presenting this work with a beautiful patina with golden shades;
