Description :
rosewood (?) veneer, French polish, gilded bronze and brass, zinc.
These beautiful planters are designed as four-sided with panelling shrub pots.
They have been adorned with the same wealth as a piece of furniture ; a bronze frieze around each panel, rounded corners and grooves decorated with golden brass, two large molds on the upper and lower edge.
Three feet with a hoof horn.
A large zinc ring tray protects the interior.
These planters were made to be put on a console, besides we see better details, planters placed on the ground have longer feet.
In fact they were used at the top of a staircase for example,...
