18th century India
- East India Company for export to Europe Rare Mughal border or full end of Indian cashmere shawl with a spine on a cream Pashmina background dating from the second part of the 18th century. Six oblique rows of boteh with floral decoration dating from the Mughal period. Shawl end in stole complete with its four woven borders in one piece. Twill weave or pashmina twill in blue, sky-blue, pink and red colors mounted on a panel in cream wool twill for its good preservation. Textile document with four areas for restoration, repair (the largest of which is 1 cm wide), otherwise clean and excellent condition of original colors and conservation.
