Convenient tomb with a beautiful marquetry of precious wood, work in butterfly wings, with tulip tree, violet wood, rosewood, amaranth, boxwood that make up this superb 18th century cabinetmaking work, Jean Chrysostore STUMPFF, received master in 1766. The stamp of the Jurande of the Master Cabinetmakers JME is struck there beside its stamp. This dresser opens with five drawers including a secret drawer with key lock, its very fine bronzes and its locks are from the period. It is a wedding piece of furniture because the figures who hold the handles represent the husband and the wife. A very beautiful unusual pinkish beige marble, completes this rare Louis XV chest of drawers signed Stumpff, undoubtedly an order piece for celebrating a wedding.
