Elegant cane in blackened wood dating from the end of the 19th century-beginning of the 20th century.
the knob-shaped handle is in ivory encrusted with lacquer and mother-of-pearl insects according to the Japanese technique of shibayama.
very many multicolored insects thus appear on each side of the handle.
the ferrule is probably in silver but is not hallmarked.
the barrel is of blackened wood and the end, the end piece is of bone.
