"Table Signed Boucoiran"
Oil on canvas painting of a seated woman wearing an ermine cape signed Numa Boucoiran dated 1864. Painter born in Nîmes in 1805 and died in the same city in 1875, director of the drawing school and curator of the Nîmes museum, he is known for having finished in 1839 the copy of the famous frescoes of the Sistine Chapel in Rome by Michelangelo, undertaken by his friend Xavier-Sigalon (1788-1837) for the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. This table is in its original frame, original gilding, slight wear to the frame. Overall dimensions 120 cm X 91 cm.
