In polychrome painted wood (mesh beech), beautifully decorated with foliage flowers and draperies, on the front and on the sides,
on an ocher background underlined with white borders.
Blue-green rear and underside of the trunk not decorated (as always on old Norman chests).
Ring for gripping the cover and original hinges in wire, hasp missing.
Typical traditional assembly in the fashion of layeners in Rouen.
Good condition, all original, painted decor with slight partial wear of use (normal for these very old safes).
No repair, beautiful original patina.
