Jean Faucq (1900 - 1978).
Naive Belgian painter. He runs a cafe on the ball game site, where the Brussels flea market is located. Like many naive painters, he started painting late, around 1960. He painted Brussels monuments, market scenes. His paintings are painted in gouache on cardboard or panel. He then varnishes them. He looks for a frame at the flea market, paints it in black and frames his work himself.
Works in numerous collections.
Taken in "the world encyclopedia of naive art".
