"Louis XVI Clock "
This subject is inspired by the clock of the bronze artist Vion, from which later the variations of representation and theme were born. Here too we find on one side a young Cupid offering a dove, as a symbol and pledge of love, to the female figure which is placed on the other side of the clock.Case: marble base with a central bas-relief of the festive putti. The biscouitte case, perfectly worked like a rock, holds the clock movement inside. On the sides the are the gilded and chiseled bronze figures of the young Cupid and the female.
Movement: French with anchor escapement, silk suspension, striking hour and half-hour strike via counter-wheel.
