This type of pot, now almost impossible to find, was used for transporting water, especially in the cities, the countryside rather using terracotta.

. In copper-plated tin, these pots kept the freshness of the water and were nicely decorated, their manufacture was made from the end of the 19th century to the 1950s and are today objects of curiosity or decoration.
The work of iron and copper in Turkey is practiced in certain cities: Kaisery, Tokat, Brousse but also in Istanbul, near the mosque of Bayézid.
The fetching of water was mainly the work of women.
