St Honoré patron of the bakers
Paul Louis Lavalley 1890-1956) was a painter and also a ceramist; he exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Indépendants from 1912 (source: Benezit)
This gouache, titled on top :" Saint Honoré", and signed with a pen at the bottom right, was perhaps an original project and sketch for a poster at the intention of bakers, of which Saint Honoré is traditionally the patron.
