Superb pair of large Louis XVI style candlesticks or candelabra in gilded bronze. Particularly interesting model with a large decorative repertoire in bronze carvings. Tripod base with natural leaves rise towards the fluted barrel carrying three sconces with heads in beards of bearded men. The sconces are twisted with acanthus leaves. Flowered cups and chiseled binets with piastres. Above the sconces, rare bouquets of flowers are screwed. The extension shaft with a 4th light arm. Beautiful quality of carving and thick and heavy bronze. They are signed below the BD bronze and numbered. Napoleon III period around 1850.
