"Ball Gown Charleston In Glass Bead Embroidery Circa 1925"
Circa 1925 France Charleston ball gown in cotton veil, old pink color, embroidered with translucent tubular glass beads and dating from the Roaring Twenties. Embroidered and vermiculated bottom gives a sanded effect. Fluid dress with straight cut and low waist on the hips, point collar and sleeveless. Very Art Deco geometric effect obtained by aligned embroidery of translucent pearls marking the collar, chest and hips. Scalloped and crenellated shuttlecocks ending in a point giving a bowling effect. Unlined dress and no under dress. No brand mark but fully embroidered and sewn by hand. No missing pearls, very good bottom structure in resistant cotton veil. Excellent condition of color and conservation.
