"Dehli Stole In Embroidered Pashmina - India For Fashion In Europe Circa 1830/1850"
Circa 1830/1850 India for export to Europe Very fine and soft Dehli stole in pashmina embroidered in India for export to Europe before 1850. Reversible embroidery in past stitch of flock silk with strong polychromy on a red pashmina background scarlet. At each end a dense, non-repetitive floral network recalls the Mughal garden. Chinese influence probably and / or embroidered by the Chinese community of Delhi in the 19th century (?). Original fringes not reported. Red boteh center in corner pieces. To note, 3 to 4 four tiny holes less than 2 mm which one notices only by transparency. Clean, no stains. Very beautiful state of color and conservation. Dimensions: 51 cm wide x 262 cm long and 3 cm fringes More info: https: //villa-rosemaine.com/bourse/pieces/etole-de-dehli-en-pashmina-brod % C3 % A9-inde-for-mode-in-europe-circa 18,301,850
