An oil on canvas measuring 65X50 cm (without the frame) representing the Foix valley under the snow in 1902 signed by Alfred Marie Le Petit (1876-1953)Landscape painter and illustrator. Alfred-Marie Le Petit is a pupil of Fernand Cormon and Léon Bonnat. He executed several landscapes of the English Channel, the North Sea, Le Havre, Rouen. It illustrates Maupassant's book "Sur l'Eau". He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Indépendants from 1908 to 1914.
