"Louis XV ''commode'', ''bronzes Au C Couronné'', 18th Century"Small Louis XV chest of drawers, curved on the front and on the sides, inlaid with amaranth wood and satin wood.
It opens with four drawers in three rows and rests on curved legs adorned with bronze clogs.
This charming dresser has a thick Aleppo breccia
The elegance of this chest of drawers is accentuated by the presence of a garniture of Rocaille gilded bronzes with crowned C.
Designed under Louis XV to be a tax hallmark, the crowned C has also become for collectors a hallmark of quality and date: used between 1745 and 1749, it seems to have been inscribed only on the most refined bronzes.
