"Pair Of Cloisonne Vases"Pair of partitioned silver baluster vases, Japanese work from the 18th century. They are in perfect state of conservation, without any scratch or égrenure. They present a decoration of polychrome pheasants on a background of a deep emerald green with exceptional brilliance. As they come from a private French collection they entered in 1900. On the bottom of each of the vases we can see the seal of the goldsmith who made them. These are remarkable examples of the art of Japanese goldsmiths of the 18th century, combining perfection of form and refinement of the decor.
