"Pair Of Carved Angels - Late 17th C."
Pair of altar angels, arranged on either side of a tabernacle. They have no traces of polychromy, so they have their original color and must have been on an altarpiece also in unpainted natural wood. Arranged on their knees on plinths representing a stylized wave form, these generous-sized sculptures are ready to resume their place in a chapel or on a dresser or console without being too imposing. The wings are removable. Some visible but old accidents. Their style is located in the second half of the 17th century. 56 cm high, about 30-35 cm wide.
