"Pair Of Vases"
This pair of Satsuma porcelain vases, in perfect condition, has been kept in the same private collection since 1900. It has a rich decor consisting of four reserves, alternating flower panels and genre scenes on a background of delicate brocade. The gold and the colors of the decor have kept their freshness intact. ¨By their complex shape and the delicacy of their decoration these two vases constitute a perfect example of the best productions of Satsuma potters in the 18th century, such as we rarely find in the best public sales today. They are signed on the bottom.
