"Vovoso Charm"
This “Vosovo” charm is made up of a wooden wand adorned with a series of “pagosia” and “barava” shell plates. This charm was kept with a reliquary. During the headhunting expeditions, this object was placed in the canoe. It then represented the mobile extension of the power of spirits, defeated warriors and ancestors. 19th / 20th New Georgia Island, Solomon Islands Archipelago
