Circular electroplating dish representing the Greek Pantheon, on the beam of a central lyre motif surrounded by two winged cherubs. very fine work (this method generally gives coarser achievements) from the late 19C. Electroplating is a technique of shaping a metal object by electrolytic deposition of this pure metal forming a more or less thick layer. The work thus obtained, from various materials, most often copper, is generally gilded or silvered then by the same process. Good condition. Dim: 0.40m in diameter. Beautiful natural wood frame
