Object description :

"Tabernacle, Door Of Paradise For No One"
I use the word resurrected ... normal for the door to paradise .... which opens onto eternal life, for some and normal given its history .... Found in a campaign of excavation in the depths of a Breton property, on the ruined slopes of an old chapel, not far from Saint Thegonnec near the Monts d'Aree, I could add: "on a foggy day" but that risks making it "romanticized" ... Then brushed, scoured, we given the beautiful veins of oak wood in the spotlight, despite the brutality of time, the Doric columns still proudly strut on both sides of the Gothic warhead which surrounds the monoxyle door .... and I try not to "do too much" but my enthusiasm to present such an object is substantial. I opted for the 18th century, not having the opportunity to age this tabernacle pediment further. I know that the hinges have been replaced by hinges already a little seized and that the lock also posterior will work only by your care. Did I tell you that the motif carved in high relief in the door is a beautiful Celtic cross .... Rare object if ever there was one, charged with the devotion that was granted to it ....
