"Empire Clock In Gilt Bronze H 50 Cm. 19th Century"We are pleased to present this gilt bronze with mercury Empire pendulum clock from the first half of the 19th century.
There are two musicians: man and woman, one with a chordophone musical instrument and the other with a small harp, with Renaissance clothing playing "Air du troubadour".
We can get lost observing all the details of this watch: at the top a beautiful lyre, chiseled with floral motifs.
Another beautiful detail is the workmanship of the two musicians: the clothes, the instruments, especially the finishing of the clothes that stand out for their refinement.
The central part containing the round dial is a real beauty.
Finely chiseled with floral motifs and two angels in the lower corners.
The base, with a low pod and floral motifs, contains three scenes, probably telling the story of the musical theme that the two musicians are singing and playing, given that the "Troubadour" was a composer and performer of poetic texts and melodies.
Finely chiseled anchors are depicted on the two front feet, with a knotted rope and two crossed branches.
A mantel clock of rare beauty, finely worked, with magnificent and chiseled details on a splendid mercury gilding.
Delivery in Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria included in the price.
The clock needs to be serviced.
Delivery in a wooden case.
