"Earthenware Planter In Vieillard, Caranza Enamels, XIXth Bordeaux"
Square-shaped glazed earthenware planter from the J. Vieillard factory in Bordeaux; it rests on 4 feet. Each side has a cartridge decorated with different birds on each side in the middle of plants, each cartridge being surrounded by a decoration of flowers, scrolls and floral scrolls treated in the Persian style. This work is attributable to Amédée de Caranza who put developed a technique of relief enamels and which collaborated with the J. Vieillard manufacture from 1878 to 1886, Dimensions: Height: 16.5 cm, opening: 17 cm X 17 cm Planter in very good condition, very colorful; normal wear and tear inside.
