Object description :

"Ancient Folk Art Cane In Monoxyle From The Last Quarter Of The 18th Century"
Exceptional and very rare 18th century monoxyle cane, finely carved, we can even say that it is a museum cane, the pommel representing the head in the shape of Christ crowned with the crown of thorns, the barrel turned in a finely carved spiral of twelve scenes with several figures which represent the path from suffering to crucifixion. A few minor repairs should be noted in the middle of the barrel, the ferrule absent. Total length of the cane 89 cm. Most probably French work from the last quarter of the 18th century. Many thanks for your trust and loyalty. We wish you a very happy holiday season! See you next year
