Jean-Baptiste Auguste Clésinger, known as Auguste Clésinger, born October 22, 1814 in Besançon and died January 6, 1883 in Paris in the 7th arrondissement, is a French romantic sculptor and painter, particularly known for his links with George Sand, whose he was the son-in-law, and of Frédéric Chopin, whose tomb he sculpted.
