Print of Robert Bénard (Bénard Diréxit). 20th frame in blackened wood and mahogany plating and nets (53 cm x 38 cm). Robert Bénard is a French engraver, born in Paris in 1734 and died in 1777. Specialized in the technique of burin, Robert Bénard is mainly renowned for having provided a large amount of boards to the Encyclopedia of Diderot & d'Alembert, from from 1751.
