Fernand Carette, born in 1921 in Marcinelle and died in 2005, is a Belgian painter. Painter, draftsman, Fernand Carette trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Charleroi between 1935 and 1946. He was the author in 1956 of murals for the Bank of Africa in Brussels and, in 1961, for the ceiling of the Bourse du Commerce and Industry in Charleroi. Around 1965, he got closer to Surrealism and worked with the Phases Group. Exhibited in Brussels at the Galerie "Saint-Laurent" in 1961, at Galerie "Quadri" in 1990 and at the "Dupuis" Gallery (Crédit Agricole) in 2002. Exhibited with Jean Rets, Pol Bury, Jo Delahaut, Paul Van Hoeydonck, Guy Vandenbranden, Red and Black Gallery, Charleroi, April 1957.
