"Louis XV Wedding Cabinet - Love Sculpture, White Patina - 18th - Oak"Norman Louis XV Wedding Wardrobe with rich sculptures and moldings.
This wedding wardrobe was commissioned by the father of the bride. In fact, this wardrobe served as a dowry for newlyweds.
The importance and prominence of the sculptures was a proof of the social importance of the donor.
Here, the sculptures are thin and dense describe bouquets swans sweetheart, intended to represent the love that will be worn by the bride and groom.
The cabinet is also decorated with flowers on the top of the doors and cornice.
The molded doors marry beautifully to the finesse of the cabinetmaking work shot on the sculptures. The cabinet rests on 4 arched feet dressed with acanthus leaf, typical of Louis XV furniture.
Painted in white, there is also a brushwork to be rechampir that has been done.
The beautiful patina is highlighted by the shades of gold and silver.
Moreover, this same rechampi comes to give even more relief to the sculptures and moldings of this cabinet.
The interior has been left in its raw oak color.
The width of the cornice is 140cm.
